"I appointed Studio 11 Architecture to carry out the detailed design on a high spec one- off home in Aston, Hertfordshire.

It was important to me that this project was as sustainable as it could be with a modern, eye catching design.

Studio 11 delivered above and beyond the remit of my brief. They created an inviting and inspiring space, provoking an indulgent lifestyle complete with a bar in the basement and light filled large living spaces.

The house is constructed in Insulated Concrete Formwork (ICF) and we used an air source and MVHR system to create an individual and energy saving home.

The grey slate and Siberian larch give a high-end finish, together with the sedum roof, glass bridge, and innovative design of the ground and first floor sitting at different angles mean this house definitely strikes you as a well-designed one-off high end home with a literal twist!

This project was not without its fair share of challenges but the Studio 11 Architecture team were great at coming up with practical and innovate design solutions for every hurdle.
This project is a testament to their skill and I have gone on to re appoint them for various other projects which are currently in the pipeline."
